Frequently Asked Questions

What is the range of the Alto Radius 100 series receivers?

The wireless signal range replaces wired runs of up to 300 feet from console to receivers.

What wireless transmitters are available for the Alto Radius 100 series?

The Alto Radius 100 series are available in the following listed below.

  • Radius 100: Hand-held condenser vocal microphone transmitter with integrated LCD display.

I am not receiving any audio signal or it is weak or sounds poor.  Why? What can I do?

  1. Make sure the receiver’s power adapter is properly connected to the power input and a power source.
  2. Ensure the transmitter’s batteries are properly inserted and that their polarities (+ and –) are correct.
  3. Set the transmitter and receiver to the same frequency.
  4. Make sure the receiver’s audio output is properly connected to your mixer, amplifier system, etc.
  5. Keep the receiver and transmitter within 328 feet (100 meters) with a clear line of sight. Also, make sure the receiver is not immediately near any metal objects or devices that could cause RF interference (other wireless systems, TVs, radio, etc.). Lower the setting of the receiver’s Squelch knob.

What is switching diversity?

In a switching receiver, the signal from only one antenna is fed to the receiver for as long as the quality of that signal remains above some prescribed threshold. If the signal degrades, the other antenna is switched in. Switching is the easiest and least power consuming of the antenna diversity processing techniques.

How are the transmitter and the receivers powered?

The Alto Radius series receiver is powered by the (12 V, 1 A, center positive) included power adapter, and the transmitters are powered by 2 AA Batteries (not included).
