Numark NS7II - Calibration Procedure

numark ns7II mainLike any precision instrument, the Numark NS7II may require proper calibration to ensure accuracy. If you're experiencing calibration issues with your Pitch Slider, Start & Stop Time knobs or your Touch Strip, then follow the steps suggested in this guide to calibrate the Numark NS7II.

 

 

 

Numark NS7II Calibration

 

  1. Disconnect the USB cable from the NS7II's USB port.  Make sure your NS7II is turned off.  

  2. Power on the NS7II while holding down SYNC on the right deck.  You'll notice that the MPC pads on the right deck will blink white to show proper computation of the mode.

  3. Set each deck's Pitch Sliders to the minimum position.

  4. Press the left deck SYNC button.

  5. Set each deck's Pitch Sliders to the maximum position.

  6. Press the left deck SYNC button.  You'll notice that the left deck SYNC button will stay lit solid red.     

  7. Set each deck's Pitch Sliders to the center position.

  8. Press the left deck SYNC button.  You've now completed the Pitch Slider portion of this calibration process. 

    Note: For the next part of the calibration process, make sure your finger tip is clear of grease, dirt, oils, and water.  Your finger tip should be clean and dry.  Do not "slide" your finger across the strip during this process.  Simply touch.  

  9. Next, on the left deck Touch Strip, touch the end song position.

  10. Press the left deck SYNC button.

  11. On the left deck Touch Strip, touch the start song position.

  12. Press the left deck SYNC button.

  13. On the right deck Touch Strip, touch the end song position.

  14. Press the left deck SYNC button.

  15. On the right deck Touch Strip, touch the start song position.

  16. Press the left deck SYNC button.  You've now completed the Touch Strip portion of this calibration process.  

  17. Next, set both Start Time knobs for each deck to the max position.

  18. Press the left deck SYNC button.

  19. Set both Stop Time knobs for each deck to the max position.

  20. Press the left deck SYNC button.

  21. That's it!  You successfully completed the NS7II calibration process.  To ensure that your controller is working correctly, power off your controller than power it back on, this time with your USB cable connected to it.  Open up the latest version of Serato DJ and test out your Pitch Slider, Touch Strip and Start/Stop Time knobs on your NS7II.  

    Note: If you happen to accidentally mess up during this calibration process, no worries.  Simply power off your NS7II, turn it back on and restart the calibration process.
